Mr. Chapman serves as Editor for Spiritual Health for the American Journal of Health Promotion and as Editor of The Art of Health Promotion newsletter, published every two months by the Journal. The newsletter provides an in-depth focus on issues in health promotion that are of concern to practitioners in the field. Each edition of the newsletter provides information that is designed to improve the effectiveness of health promotion programming. In addition to writing a number of the major articles for the newsletter, he also researches related articles providing abstracts for readers and completes the Closing Thoughts portion of each edition sharing this responsibility with Dr. O'Donnell.
 
As Senior Vice President, for WebMD Health Services, Mr. Chapman provides thought leadership on integrating health cost management, plan design, incentive systems, and organized prevention programming for worksite, managed care, and community-based populations.  He has spent more than 25 years improving the health of employees and their family members and has developed more than 900 employee health and productivity management programs including more than 200 wellness financial incentive programs.  Formally educated in environmental health, medical technology, and medical care organization at UCLA and the University of Michigan, Chapman is an internationally recognized expert and speaker on innovative health management interventions. He has also published 13 books and more than 170 professional articles and columns.  Chapman co-founded and served as Chairman of the Board of Summex Health Management, which was acquired by WebMD in 2006.  He also serves as an editor of the American Journal of Health Promotion and editor of The Art of Health Promotion.
